QuayQuip supplied seven sets of QCN-1200 Cone Fenders to the Colonel’s Island Agri-Bulk Terminal. The facility is one of the largest agri-bulk ports in the south eastern United States, and shares the island with a major car importing terminal. It connects to two rail networks and an interstate highway. QuayQuip also supplied steel panels measuring 3050mm wide (10′) by 3940mm high (13′), faced with highest quality UHMW-PE, as well as all chains and anchors.

Arch Fenders for Submerged Composite Camel

The ever-versatile QuayQuip QSA Arch Fender has recently been supplied to firms building composite submerged camels to US Navy submarine bases.

The first new camels were installed in naval bases in 2010 and quickly proved their worth. Combining the lightness and corrosion resistance of composite materials with easy installation and a far simpler inventory (just one type for all submarine classes and berths), they will eventually feature in every US submarine base.
